Friday, February 28
Start time 14hrs local (1330 GMT)

It’s the game between most familiar opponents India and Sri Lanka on Friday in Asia Cup.Both teams started the tournament with a victory. Sri Lanka registered victory against Pakistan in the opening game of Asia cup and India against the hosts Bangladesh. Both the teams India and Sri Lanka will try to win the match and become table toppers. All eyes would be on India’s  interim skipper Virat kohli as he is playing against his favorite opponents Sri Lanka. Its more important for India to secure a win as Sri Lanka has already deposited Victory against big guns Pakistan.

Skipper Kohli’s tremendous form against Bangladesh continued and now his record shows he has scored 868 runs in just 10 matches averaging about 124.This will put India as strong favourites despite of recent upsets in foreign tours.

Recent times Indian openers are struggling with Dhawans inability to play short pitch balls and Rohit Sharma also facing criticism for pacing his innings very slowly. It would be interesting to see if Kohli would change team composition by sending Rohit Sharma out bringing in Pujara .

It seems definite to leave out Varun Aaron as he is a letdown in the previous match with poor control over the ball. Stuart Binny is likely to be in playing 11 in place of Varun .

Sri lankan vice captain Chandimal also hinted that Ajantha mendis will be playing against India and also said that absence of M S Dhoni will help them if they take some quick wickets early in the innings.

24 year Chandimal also said that his team is having better knowledge about the pitch conditions as they recently played against the Hosts Bangladesh Just before the Tournament
